Phil Billingham, Director

“I remember discussing a hypothetical situation on a panel at a conference in Paris: if there’s an advisor in Greece, advising a German citizen, who is based in Italy, about a fund based in Guernsey, where the internet connects is through France, and the administration is in Spain - who’s regulating that advice? And we concluded that the answer was probably nobody, and there was no protection for that consumer.”

With 35 years’ experience in financial services, Phil is widely respected as an expert in his field. He regularly contributes to the industry press and was listed among the Top 50 Financial Advisers by Professional Adviser Magazine in both 2005 and 2011. He has been an expert witness since 2006, contributing to cases in both the English and Scottish High Courts, and has spoken at conferences around the world, from Australia to Portugal, and Monaco to Canada.
